Sheridan Headjoint For more than 30 years Dana Sheridan has been refining his craft of creating flutes and headjoints. His designs combine the knowledge and technical excellence gained working with the professional flute makers of Boston, Massachusetts before becoming an independent maker.

The Dana Sheridan Series of headjoints is premiered with Gemeinhardt Flutes through the launch of the Brio! flute line. Brio! flutes feature the sterling silver headjoint that is the culmination of a collaboration between Dana Sheridan and craftsmen and engineers of Gemeinhardt. This design provides a free-blowing but focused headjoint to enable flutists to achieve the sound colors their increasing musicianship demands.

When the perfect headjoint design was finalized, the responsibility for hand-cutting each Sheridan Series Brio! headjoint transferred to Tom Lacy. Working as a master craftsman with Gemeinhardt, Tom is an internationally recognized flutemaker who produces his own line of custom professional instruments. Hand-cutting each Sheridan Series headjoint, Tom Lacy's craftsmanship is a part of every Brio! flute.
