Unlike any other area,
the saxon region of Vogtland looks back on over
a 100 years of tradition in the development and
manufacturing of wind instruments. The first german
saxophone was built in 1901 in Markneukirchen ,
and by the 1920`s, Hüller saxophones were being sold all
over the world. During the times of the old east
Germany (GDR), the majority of the vogtl. Saxophone
manufactures were brought together to form the VEB
Blechblas- und Signal-Instrumenten-Fabrik. Today,
this tradition now lies in the hands of Vogtländische
Musikinstrumentenfabrik GmbH , who as well as establishing
the handcraft traditions, continue developing new
and innovative ideas together with leading saxophone
players and specialists from around the world ,
from these developements came this fabulous range
of Dave Guardala Saxophones.Technically engineered
and handcrafted beyond the ordinary. These saxes
achieve optimal response, superior intonation and
tonal richness across all ranges. As a result they
have found their way into the hands of professional
musicians worldwide. Their popularity is due in
part to their excellent acoustical properties,
ease of playing, flawless mechanical quality and
not forgetting their impeccable beauty , resulting
from decades of incomparable manufacturing processes,
meticulous workmanship, continuous research and
development, artist input, and the personal pride
of each tradesman. Dave Guardala saxes are reminiscent
of horns produced in an era when materials and
craftsmanship were never compromised and recapture
that full American sound of old, and create a better
sound for tomorrow. |
