The handmade key mechanism has several additional features. The
wing joint is equipped with a high E key and a connecting arm
from the A key to the whisper key.
The boot joint has a disconnectable Ab/Bb trill key so that a
special touchpiece for the right thumb is not necessary, thus
the playing feeling is not reduced. The detachable balance holder
enables better balancing of the instrument while playing.
The wing joint and the small side of the boot are lined with
hard rubber. Similar to all other models, the bottom of the boot
joint and the wide bore to over Ab is lined with an epoxy resin
Luracast, in order to prevent moisture damage.
The 5 finger holes and the G-tone hole are lined with silver
tone hole inserts. The hand made matt varnished finish gives this
model an extremely elegant appearance and gives very high playing
comfort.
The Schreiber bassoon S91 Prestige, fulfils the musician's expectations
to a maximum degree.
