Dean Guitars were born in 1976 in Chicago in the suburban childhood home of the Company founder Dean B Zelinski The 18 year old Zelinski was convinced that Guitar design and manufacuring had hit a wall. Rock Music was huge and guitar makers were failing to keep up with the times.The world was ready for a Guitar that looked, played and sounded superior to what was available from manufaturers at that time. Zelinski had a better idea. What followed was a line of Dean Guitars that for the first time allowed players to to play to their potential. With it highly visible V shaped headstock and trrademark wing logo. Dean Guitars have become the first boutique guitar line in the history of Rock
